Day Twenty-Seven: God the Healer: Seal it Up!

                                                             Day Twenty-Seven

"and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit" Ephesians 1:13b

In the interest of time, which I never seem to have enough of, I want to stress the idea that once we believed in God, we were given the Holy Spirit as a promise of our relationship and salvation.  We are sealed and protected by this same spirit, which enables the Father and Jesus to touch our hearts with his hands of grace.  In this touch, we are healed of our fears, anxieties, stressors, and worries; they are washed away by the cleansing, freeing blood of the lamb.

So, today as you go your way, take a moment to reflect on the fact that we are sealed in the Holy Spirit in God's hands, that no matter how far we, seemingly, run from God, he's got a hold of us, and won't let us escape too far.  Not that he is a pushy, overbearing father, but a loving father who wants shield us from the ways of the world.

Bask in the warmth of the healing Holy Spirit and let your father's eyes of love and touch of grace bring healing to your weary soul.

"But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere."  2 Cor. 2:14
