Day Five: God the Healer: Blessings From God

                                                                Day Five

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places..."
Ephesians 1:3

As you know doubt have started down your journey towards recovery, there will be good days and bad, not so good moments, and some happy.  A good suggestion that was always spoken to me during the depths of my despair is to praise God from where we are at, yes, that means in your darkest hour, find something to praise God about.  As it says "Blessed be the God and Father..", I mean, not only did he send his son to die for us, but he sent us love, peace, joy, eternal life, and he promises to never leave us.  He is our eternal I am.  Just knowing he is always with us should be enough of a praise report right there.  So, I challenge you this week, in your most hardest moment, praise God for something...even if it is that bird flying by.

And know that when we bless the Lord, the blessing comes full circle.  He blesses us when we bless him and yet he doesn't just bless us because we bless him, he blesses us even if we don't bless him.  It says "who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing", so I dare you to ask the Lord for a spiritual blessing because there from heaven above (in the heavenly places).  Ask the Lord for the peace of God, you know you need it.

Spend a little time in your prayer journal or in the lines below, praising God for whatever comes to mind.  Don't think, just let your thoughts flow.  Then, ask God for the blessings from heaven, for what you need personally.  And he will give it, not because you deserve it, (well, that's another story), but because He loves you and cares for you, he really does, dear one, so ask him for what you need.  Be it, strength to get through the day, healing from the pain, what have you...Just be honest.

Remember, he is near you and he hears you.  And, he wants to bless you.

"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."  Philippians 1:6

He's not done with you yet; you are a work in progress.

Be patient, dear one, be blessed in his love for you.
